The Project had a delayed start due to waiting for hardware and software to arrive. Rather than sit idle, the project team has moved up several of the latter phased tasks outlined in phase’s two and four of the overall project playbook. Since the kickoff of phase one has been delayed we are buying ourselves time from October tasks, which we should be able to use later to get the overall project back on time.

Activities underway or completed are;
·         The ‘needs’ list has been completed and delivered to the district for work space and access requirements.
·         Work station image creation and installation of Windows and applications.
·         Majority of the hardware and software has arrived and has been inventoried.  Specifically, the Cisco Gear has arrived, as well as the Avamar Gear, VMware and Microsoft Licenses and a few EMC SAN Hard Drive shelves.  Critical items still remaining are the HP Servers and EMC SAN Head Units.
·         Work space has been procured and we are in process of cleaning out the space needed in the server room to install a rack for the new equipment.  McGladrey will be working with the district electricians in order to run temporary power to the work area as well as district cable makers for some Fiber Runs.
·         Moved up phase IV of the project, which includes reconfiguration of the F5 load balancers and installation of the Juniper Firewalls.

McGladrey is working with the School District on a few specific needs;
·         Access to in house District Electricians to assist with electrical runs
·         Access to in house District LAN Cablers to create some Fiber Cable runs
·         Obtain like machines for each type of PC in production in order to build the base image for deployment on the Microsoft Network
